Secret Cheese beefburgers

Ok so you’ve watched the ‘Home-made Burgers and Wedges’ video – and you’re probably desperate to get cooking and try making yourself! This is a secret recipe but we’re kind so have decided to share it with you – here it is! Keep it quiet though, you don’t want everyone to know how to make the best burgers ever!

- 500g minced beef
- Paprika
- Breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper
- Mango Chutney
- Cheese of your choice!
- Potatoes
- Oil
- Garlic and rosemary

Get cooking!

1. Start by preparing your wedges. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Cut your potatoes into wedges and place in a large bowl, pour in some oil and mix well so they’re all coated. Spread them out into a baking tray, sprinkle some salt, pepper and paprika over and add some garlic cloves and rosemary to the tray – put in the oven and bake for about 30 mins.
2. Meanwhile, get your burgers going! Get a mixing bowl and mix the mince with 2 cracked eggs, a good pinch of salt, pepper and paprika, the bread crumbs and 1-2 tablespoons of Mango Chutney.

3. Work it all together with your hands till it’s a nice texture that binds well.

Shape the mixture into burger patties, size depends on how many you want to make but I’d recommend not too big as they expand under the grill/ in the pan.

4. Once you have the patties, sprinkle some grated cheese on top and then fold over so the cheese is hidden inside the patties. Make sure it’s sealed in!

4. Then grill for about 15 minutes or until they’re cooked through!

5. Serve with a nice bun and some salad and a healthy portion of wedges!
