The Stannary

Having already had the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Jack Johnson, and RadioOne DJ’s in the pipeline, The Stannary is really starting to make a name for itself.

The Upper Stannary
The Upper Stannary is a great place to come and chill out with comfy seating areas and plenty of things to do. There are two pool tables, an IT boxes, two 42″ plasma screens and there is also a large projector screen that can be seen from both bars. Along with the screens there is a state of the art surround sound system to really give the area a lot of atmosphere.

The Refectory (downstairs at The Stannary)
This follows the principle of fresh ingredients prepared and cooked as close to service as possible.
Opening times: 7.50am – 2.30pm for Fairtrade tea, coffee and snacks.
Breakfast – 7.50am – 10.30am: Hot items including local award-winning Cornish Gold sausages and Cornish free-range eggs, or natural yoghurt and fresh fruit, and in the autumn term porridge and dried fruit is available.
From 10.30am: hot Cornish pasties, delivered fresh from the local supplier.

There is a wide choice of meals available including:
- Soup made fresh on the premises daily.
- Self-service salad bar: made fresh every day…also fruit salad, yogurt pots.
- Jacket Potato counter baked potatoes with a choice of  hot and cold fillings.
- Chips, beef burgers, veggie burgers and chicken burgers are available every day during term. The beef burgers are from a local butcher in Helston.
- The International Counter The theme changes weekly following either country themes or food themes.
- Hot Choice counter carries more home comfort food from pies and lasagne to a roast dinner with all the trimmings.
- Sandwiches, rolls and wraps are delivered daily by our local sandwich supplier.

Koofi cafe
Located in Glasney Park behind the Porters Lodge. Open during term: 8am-9pm Monday to Friday, 3pm-9pm Saturday & Sunday. The perfect spot to bring your laptop and have a latte. Paninis, boxed salads and a range of sandwiches are made fresh every day by the team.

This year we are looking at developing bowl food to eat-in or take-away – pasta & sauce, soup n roll, stew – but you’ll have to be quick when its gone its gone! A range of Starbucks coffees and cold drinks are on offer – best with one of the fantastic cupcakes from a small independent bakery in Helston.
