Exeter International Shopping Guide – where we went!

So you’ve probably watched the Exeter International Shopping Guide video and want to know a bit more about the places we visited – here’s more information so you can check out the shops for yourself!

• Yonk Asian Food

Where: Summerland Street, Exeter, EX1 2AT

This is a great place to get familiar Asian foods: from noodles to specialty meats and fish, there’s something for everone.

Continental Food Store

Where: 119 Old Tiverton Road, Exeter, EX4 6LD
Tel: 01392 206666
Opening times: 9am – 10.30pm 7 days a week.
Authentic oriental food and drinks specialist since 1983. This is the largest international store in the South West, selling all kinds of Indian, Bangladesh, Chinese, Thai, Korean and Asian foods, as well as a huge range of halal meats – plus there’s free delivery of items too!

• Tesco Metro

Where: 223-226 High Street, Exeter, EX4 3RH

Opening times: Monday – Saturday 7am – 10pm, Sundays 11am – 5pm.
One of the main supermarkets, there’s always a Tesco Metro that’s easy to find close by, and they tend to have great international sections for convenience.

The Real Food Store

Where: 11-13 Paris Street, Exeter, EX1 2JB

Opening times: Monday –Saturday 9am-6pm (Café times: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 4.30pm)
The Real Food Store is Exeter’s first community-owned food business and offers good, fresh food and drink from sustainable sources at reasonable prices. There’s loads of things there:

- Store for all your grocery needs
- Bakery for your daily bread
- Take-Away counter for your grab and go coffee or lunch & with a small sit-down area
- Café & gallery upstairs for a delicious sit-down experience (You can also view local art!)

Where: South Street/Fore Street

When: Every Thursday 9am – 2pm.
This is a chance for you to get some great deals on local food all on your campus doorstep! This weekly farmers market has some great produce on offer grown by local farms, including: meats, fruit, cheese, cider.
